Lieutenant (LT) Andrew Rodriguez

 

Lieutenant (LT) Andrew Rodriguez is originally from Casa Grande, AZ where he attended high school and subsequently entered into the US Navy. LT Rodriguez is the oldest of 5 siblings. He has two sons 9 (AJ & Alex) and has four grandchildren. LT Rodriguez attended Arizona State University and transferred to Grand Canyon University where he completed his undergraduate degree in Business. He obtained his Masters of Science in Public Policy at Northern Arizona University. 

Lieutenant Rodriguez has been teaching the NJROTC program at LBJ since June 2018. He began his teaching career as a math teacher for the Standfield (AZ) Elementary School District and later taught science at Cactus Middle School for the Casa Grande School District. Before embarking on a teaching career, LT Rodriguez worked as a police officer in Arizona where he retired with over 21.5 years of service.

Petty Officer 1st Class Javier Tobias

  

 

Petty Officer 1st Class Javier Tobias was born raised in Laredo and El Cenizo, Texas. He is a 1993 graduate of United South High School. He enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard in July 1993 and honorably discharged in July 1995. In September of 1995 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and reported to Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes, IL on January 18, 1996. Upon graduation from RTC he continued on to attend Airman School at Naval Technical Training Center. His first duty station was, Marine Corp Air Station, Futema, in Okinawa, Japan. After a one year tour, AN Tobias received a new set of orders and reported aboard USS Constellation (CV-64), in San Diego, CA for sea duty, and participates in two Western Pacific Deployments to the Persian Gulf in 1997 and 1999. Petty Officer Tobias reported to Navy Recruiting District at San Antonio, TX in May 2001, as the Recruiter-in Charge of Navy Recruiting Station Laredo. In 2004, Petty Officer Tobias reported aboard USS Lincoln (CVN 72) in Everett, WA for a second sea duty tour, and later transferred to Naval Legal Service Office North West.  

In Sept. 2006, Petty Officer Tobias reported back to NRD San Antonio, Tx. In Oct 2010, he transferred and reported to NRD Denver, CO. He was the Leading Petty Officer for recruiting offices, an Officer Programs Recruiter, and Collegiate Manager. After a three-year tour in Denver, CO, he was given orders in June 2013 and reported back to NRD San Antonio, TX. Petty Officer Tobias retired on September 30, 2015 after 22 years of faithful Naval Service.
